The ground penetrating radar is a non-destructive technique who puts on use high frequency electromagnetic waves.
It is based on the propagation, reflection and the reception of electromagnetic waves, when it encounter a surface between two elements who possess different electrical proprieties a fraction of its energy (the wave) is reflected, received and measured by a captor.
The reflected wave is a witness of what we call the reflector who is the contrast of electrical impedance between two elements.
The georadar is used in many domains:

- Characterization of the shod
- detection of cavities
